Summer News:
Animals are in need of extra attention this time of year, if your animal has been acclimated to the outdoors
do not think that your pet is out of danger! Hot days can be a serious or fatal.
Things to consider: Ensure the animal has clean dry shelter.
Water needs to be checked daily and more than once, you can buy water bowls that allow all day watering
or dig a 5 gallon bucket into the ground about half way, this will prevent tipping and also help keep the water cool.
Check on your pet, never assume he or she is ok! Most pets although enjoy the outdoors would surely like to come
inside as well, if you have an enclosed porch or day room, think about letting them in during extreme heat. I strongley
suggest all animals be kept indoors as much as possible. Also if you intend to travel or go out shopping Pets should
be left at home whenever possible and boarded at a reputable licensed boarding facility or use a petsitter to watch after
your pets while you area way.
